Meet Melissa Ellis
For 25 years, I worked as a corporate accountant, managing the complex finances of a single large-scale company. But I realized my true passion wasn't in the corporate boardroom. It was in helping the small business owners who are the backbone of our communities.
Why I Started Mellis Services
I founded Mellis Services LLC to help many business owners, not just one company. I saw small business owners (social media agencies, insurance agents, attorneys, and consultants) struggling. They started their businesses to serve their clients, but instead, they were drowning in receipts, confused by changing IRS rules, and losing sleep over where their money went.
I love it when my clients tell me I have taken a weight off their shoulders. That’s why I do this.
My Approach
I am friendly but straightforward. Small businesses don’t need daily bookkeeping work. They need someone to come in, take the messy paperwork, and create clear, accurate reports for themselves and their CPAs.
I work with my clients to build the trust they deserve for a long-lived relationship. By taking the financial stress off their plates, they can focus on sales, grow their business, and finally take that vacation they've been putting off.
